I love these snake pots. They sell quick and I have parted with all but this one, which is the first one I made.

I took the best one out of maybe 12 I have made to date, to Ohio last year. I put a high price on it, not really wanting to sell it. In the frenzy of setting up for the show, I didn't think about it and put a 700 dollar price on it. And I'll be darned if Dave and Mary didn't walk right in the door as I opened it. They grabbed it and THE trophy pot for year 2000, wrote me a check and were gone. Really Dave, I miss it and can live without it. Though I do miss it. This year I have made four new Snake Pots to ease my loss. Hopefully, one will replace the lost baby.

I must tell you the story behind these pots, which are really titled "Art Saves A Life" pots. There is a frog in the bottom of these pots. The snake is stuck on the loop of the pot's handle, it's body bunched up on one side of the handle and stretched out on the other side. It cannot reach the frog in the bottom of the pot. The pot stands between life and death. At least for potters it does.
