Click here for the 2002 40th reunion pictures.

And here for the REUNION homepage.

Below are the St. Gabriel's Class of 1962 45th Reunion Pictures:

Just as they did five years ago, Mary Weisenhorn and Maureen O'Brien showed up first. Mary brought her sister along. Whoops, excuse me, Mom along.

Paul Ritter was next to show. I am sorry I didn't get a picture of him and his immaculate 1970 Olds 442 convertible.

Mike Brennan and Bob Dunn...

then along came Don Bellon, Jack Leonard and Nick Correnti. Everyone was surprised and glad to see Jack.

The recently wed Nancy Vander Plymn is on the left and Peg Poniewaz, who helped organize the reunion, is in the blue.

Maureen and Mary Buehler Dodge conversing.

Bill Zipf showed. A very welcome addition to the event. I remember Bill as being a skilled draughtsman who was often drawing horses in grade school. Lo and behold, he now owns horses!

Wish I could get an emabrace like that from Maureen. Lucky Joan Gorman!

Joan, in the baby blue, showed up and even had the foresight to have a name tag with her picture. She looks even better now than when she did in high school!

You agree? I think all the woman from our class look better than ever. Seriously.

Mary Weisenhorn brought along a box of grade school memorabilia and one item was an autograph book- signed with memories and autographs primarily of the girls of the class. When I saw this page -and others like it- it made feel bad for being so dang shy and naive in those years. All I had to do was reciprocate a little attention and who knows what could have happened? My mind reels! Sorry Mary, I really blew it. I'll put that mistake on the top of my "Youthful Regrets" list.

I know Jack Leonard had a good time. It was great to see him. We missed him in 2002.

A number of the locals didn't show up for one reason or another. We had fewer of the class show this time than in 2002. Here is a group shot with nearly everyone that showed for the reunion. That's me on the right.

We did have two other new faces show that surprised everyone. And before you proceed past this group photo, tell me, who was the only 8th grader to ever drive his Mom's car to school? Who else but...

DEWEY PETERSON!!! Dewey flew in from Las Vegas and stayed till the end. He was a wealth of info and memories. Thank you, Dewey, for making the trip!

That is Nick Correnti on the left, Bob Dunn and Jim Crowe, who still lives in the parish.

Mary Buehler and Lynn Widmann.

Lynn still has the figure of her youth.

One again, the twins, Bern and Barb Hummel. Check out the pic of them from the last reunion. Still lookin' great.

And now for the other face that surprised everyone- MIKE YATES!! That is Joe Gresnick on the left and Mike Brennan on the right. I think Sister Tereseen didn't show cause she could not take the aggrevation of seeing Mike Yates again! She might have thought Mike wanted to settle some old scores.

After most of the class left, the hard core crew stuck around until 7 PM and performed a post-mortem on the event as well as some vivid memories of our school days. I am not sure how accurate some of the memories were, but it was fun piecing memories together from everyone's recollections. We went through the class person by person. Some of my reactions to the memories brought to life were "What!!" and "Who??" The things some of you girls did! And the guys. Holy cats! Like I say, I was shy and naive.

Here is Mike recalling one- of many, many- vivid memories.

Here is one big photo for close scrutiny. It is not as crisp as I would like (like my memories) but it is all I have. See you all in 5 years. Maybe, just maybe, sooner.
