Get ready for big tiles- "plaques" as Rookwood liked to call them. Of course they will get special frames. Finished size? In Japan it is called "oban"- 10" x 15".
Initally they will get designs you might recognize. Or own. I doubt these will be ready in time for Zanesville. But you never know.
Lots of gourds this year. Lots. Please start a collection.
Beautiful? When they look this good as bisque, they always look great when finished.
Made three of these...
Five of these- these two are 16"...
I should have three of these...
Lots to glaze when I finally get to it.
Here is a budding collection of my gourds in a friend's kitchen.
Don't know what treatment these will get.
Lots 'o gourds.
These are shapes I am in love with this year. They and gourds will dominate. They are intentionally a bit more modest size and $wise.
These are for a new Zanesville tradition- something new for the show and it starts this year. It may turn into an annual big deal.
My only old peony pot. Someone- Ms. Claudine- says I have to make one for her. OK.
This peony was already on the shelf. Claudine says she wants one in the bouquet shape like in the picture above. I have 25#s of porcelain left before I start glazing. Claudine, you contacted me just in time. And this is literally the first time I am "making to order." Don't ask me why, but I am doing it.
Next time I update, I will definitely be glazing. I think. I hope. I better.
