Here a few things that will show up in Zanesville in July and on this website in September or October- if things go as planned. I have a couple clocks that are really fine. This photo does not do them justice.
Here are the first of some of the gourds. A dozen of them have been refired and have been glazed again and are in the kiln right now. There is a lot of hit and miss (then hit again) when you are making every piece unique.
These three seedhead pots turned out fine.
The rains are lookin' good after three trips in the kiln.
Corny pots.
These are all reglazed and in the kiln at this moment.
I have finally gotten my Jade glaze to go emerald in color. It only took two years to figure it out.
Once again, Moby Dick rises to the surface of my mind. Or perhaps he dives into my mind.
Reglazed gourds and some new ones going in the kiln for the first time. The six tall upturned cylinders are going to be birch tree pots.
OK, here are the first of the picture tiles that I have been talking about for the last two years. Damn, everything takes two years for me. This is what they look like as they go into the kiln. Hollyhocks...
and daisys in the snow. All the purple you see here will be blue shadows in the white snow. Very attractive, colorful, abstractish, wallpaperish....
The last batch of pots that I will be glazing before Zanesville will be tiles and pots with a birch tree theme. Here is the very start of glazing one of the tiles.
They will end up something like this. Only better.
Hopefully, I will be updating again before Zville, but no promises.
