I am determined to glaze all the bisque in the studio. Well, nearly all the bisque. I thought that this group of pots would be the last to get glazed.
And a few pots need to be reglazed like these two rain pots.

and some blanks with a new design.
I thought this would be the last kiln load for awhile.
I have fired a couple of loads since last I updated the site. Some things turned out well and others total losers. This big piece was refired and was a loser. It was gently laid to rest in the dumpster. I thought it would be beautiful but boy did I misjudge the glaze on this one!
This is a new design that I hope will be a pot for the real A&C lover. The glazing method is something new for me and I am using some tricks that you see in Chinese painting. You will understand when I show you the results.

I thought I would take a break after starting the kiln and do this update. The kiln is running right now and I'll see the results in about 36 hours. I thought it would be the last load for awhile and that I had vitually glazed everything that needed glazing. Wrong! When I looked about the studio, I noticed a number of big pieces that have been around for years. Well, it looks like I will spend another couple of weeks glazing those pieces. I had hoped to be throwing and making new pots at the beginning of September. Looks like I will be about six weeks behind schedule. So what's new?
Well it is now two days later and I have some goodies out of the kiln. My shrimp dish is neigh to perfect. Shrimp in the bowl, sauce in the boat and toothpic (harpoons) in the holes in the whales back. Yummy!

These are a new design. I have to work out a few bugs but there will be some great ones with this design coming.
